Have you ever not realized how much you really really like someone until you’ve already blown your shot with them and you’re too late? Well, hey, it sucks. Avoid it.

Okay, moving forward: it's fucking DECEMBER. How did this happen?

In exactly two weeks I will be finished with the semester and will be heading back home to Rochester for the remainder of my time in the U.S. "Oh right, you're going to England aren't you?" Why yes, you remembered! I leave on January 12th. Crazy. For so long that date has seemed so far away and now all of a sudden it's December and I have what, 41 days left? Fucked up.

Anyway. SO, I now have less than two weeks left in New York. And if the last month is any indication of how they'll be, then I will certainly be making the most of my time.

Throughout the month of November I saw the Get Up Kids, I saw some of my friends in Say Anything and celebrated their record release, I passed out in a Dunkin Donuts and got sent to the hospital, I went to the lame ass MTVu Woodie Awards, I met Jason Schwartzman twice in two days, I met Joseph Gordon-Levitt the day after that, I somehow survived all three of those encounters without having a coronary, I went to lotsa shows as always (SYG, Andrew WK, Brand New, Manchester Orchestra twice, Kevin Devine twice, Glassjaw, The Gay Blades, blah blah blah,) I went to the opening of Tim Burton's MoMA exhibition, I watched Gossip Girl for the first time ever (shit SUCKS,) I broke my macbook like the criminally retarded human being that I am, and last but not fucking least I beat my high score on brickbreaker. Boom. Roasted.

My last day at NYLON is next week and I'm really disappointed to be leaving. I love having a job that I feel genuinely excited to go to every day. I love it even more than I hate getting up early for it. But on the other hand, I suppose I'm looking forward to having time to (hopefully) find a real job in London that, you know, actually PAYS me. Because naturally I'm heading to the only city that's more expensive than New York. In the immortal words of the Wu-Tang Clan, Cash Rules Everything Around Me.

ANYWAY, if any of you guys have ever been overseas (especially to the UK) and feel like telling me about it, please do. Typical stupid American right here, I don't know shit about any country but my own. "Jumper" means sweater, right? Are British people mean to Americans? (What about French people?) Will I ever grasp that whole metric system thing? And above all, HOW AM I GOING TO WATCH LOST???

SO MANY QUESTIONS.

P.S. Also, I don't really know why anyone would be interested in knowing any more about my life but if you are at least morbidly curious, I recommend following my Tumblr or Twitter instead. Updates are more frequent (and much less verbose. Promise.)
